Firstly, we had a motivational talk by En Firdaus (Pegawai Eksekutif SKK, OKU) from the counselling department. Since he's also an OKU, he enlightened us more about the life of disabled people, how similar they are to us despite their disabilities and how much they were misunderstood by the societies' perspectives.
Then, we had our ice breaking session~ Finally, a chance to know them better to kill the awkwardness between us. I was really overwhelmed on how open minded they are to tell us their experiences and struggles with their disabilities. It was interesting and really inspired me.
After that, we had our dinner and Asar prayers. We continued our activities by brailler session, We were divided into number of groups to learn how to type brailles using the braillers, taught by OKU friends. We were all in awe and full of interest to try using the Brailler on our own. It was a wonderful experience to all of us learning new things and gaining closer relationship with OKU friends!
