Finally our two days program has ended. It is the time for helping our OKU friends in any possible such as reader session. The first thing that I did was bringing Fairus to library to return the borrowed books and also to find new reference books for his assignments. I told Fairus to sit at the couch and wait as I go find the books for him since he already gave me the books' title. After that we went back home. Days after that, I helped to read out the books we had borrowed from that day. As I read the words out loud, Fairus hands were typing each and every words on his laptop with speed and precision. I don't know much about the program used but apparently, his laptop is able to read out the words once it is typed in. It lasted quite a few hours if my memories serve me correctly. Then one day (on Sunday), Aishah another OKU friend needed help to bring her to Bank Islam in UM. I volunteered myself and brought her to Bank Islam. I asked her why she want to o there and she said she wants to withdraw money to buy novel. When we were there, fortunately there was a nice man (employee) who willingly extend his help to Aishah. Then, the whole withdrawal process was guided by the man. After that, we went back to KK.
All in all, as I bring my OKU friends to far away places, people are so nice to give way to us. Those who brought cars will slow down and stop for us and those who are strolling will intentionally go to my side way. It shows that our society is very caring to our OKU friends. Furthermore, I understand travelling to places all by themselves can be very dangerous especially crossing the road. When I asked them how they did it, they told me that they listen to the noise from the cars. To conclude, our OKU friends are really independent and brave just to get to other places.
