9th May 2015

All of us gathered at Seri Jati in the morning around 8.00 a.m. We were having a Family Day with SOKUZA friends which was supposed to be held at Tasik Varsiti UM.

As we arrived there, everyone was divided into four groups for the activities, excluding me as I was the photographer at the time. Due to bad weather, luckily, there was an alternative location to do our activities which was at the gazebo at Kompleks Perdanasiswa,

The activities started with the Secret Box where each group have to guess the contents in the box
without seeing it, but feel it with their hands. It was exciting, yet scary at the same time.
The next activity was that each group was given the letters in braille and they had to guess, plus rearrange the letters to words. A good thing about this activity is that they have to apply what they had learned during yesterdays's braille session.

Then, the activities continued with drawing competition, using blindfolds. There were also distractions by other groups while drawing. Later on, they all presented their drawings and the most similar drawings to the actual one wins.
Last but not least, the Poison Box. Everyone sat in circles and the box must be passed around according to the music. However if the music stops, the victim who holds the box must do what was instructed from the paper he/she took in the box.

After the activities, we visited the rabbit exhibition along with OKU friends. There were many kinds of cute rabbits and we also get to touch and hold them but sadly for me, our visiting time was short because we need to head back to 7th Residential College. As a photographer, I captured lots of memorable moments spent with SOKUZA and OKU friends during Family Day. It was heartwarming to see the smiles on their face and how much they enjoyed themselves throughout the activities.
