The First Day of Social Engagement

On 08th May 2015, we started our social engagement activity from 3pm until 8pm. The first slot was a motivation talk, delivered by Encik Firdaus, from Counselling Department of University Malaya. I really learnt a lot from him about the OKUs. He makes me realized that actually the OKUs are not much different from the normal people.

After that talk, we proceed to the second slot which is ice-breaking activity. We were divided to two groups so that it is easiest for us to know each other. We were grouped with Fairus, Yusry, Josuee, Aisyah and Jia Hui.



Then, the most interesting part was when the OKUs taught us on how to use the Braille machine. I was really excited to learn because it was my first time using a braille machine. Yusry and Fairus was a great teachers, our group won almost 3 times when there are competition to type the sentences.


I really enjoy my first day of social engagement. I learnt a lots and i am happy to get to know each of them. Can't wait for the second day!
